The Happenings of Nadia

Well, don't I just have a ton of stuff to do. Lessee here: Three sets of financial statements, two corporate tax returns, a whole year of posting for a client, 12 GST returns, three assignments, four exams to study for and lets not even get into the pile of paperwork Sherilyn was kind enough to stack on my chair this morning.

No better time to write a blog entry! My poor, unloved, unattended to blog.

Alrighty, so, let's get you guys some updates on the life of Nadia, et al.

1) We have hired ourselves an au pair. For those of you who don't know, an au pair is a fancy way of saying "live in nanny." She lived with us for about 5 minutes before I thought to myself "why on EARTH did I not do this 6 years ago?" Seriously, this is the cat's ass of a life. The girls have ONE consistent babysitter, not a slew of uninterested 14 year olds who need shopping money, they are up, fed and dressed by the time I am out of my morning shower, dinner is on the table when I arrive home at 5:30, the house is clean, the groceries are bought, the laundry is done. AND here is the best part - we are SAVING MONEY.  It was more expensive to have a cleaning lady and a babysitter when we needed one. Now, I get all  the fun stuff, time with my girls who are beautiful and happy, instead of stressing over how much housework there is to be done and whether or not they are eating healthly meals and worrying about who is going to babysit while we are at work its alllllllll solved now.

So. Her name is Sheena, she used to live in Barrie. She is excellent with the girls and they love her. Everyone is happy on the home front. :)

2) The new Signature website is up. www.signaturefinancial.ca if you are interested, check it out. Work couldn't be better since I freed myself of the ball and chain.  If I were any better, I would declare a dividend. Sherilyn and I have morphed our office into a comfortable, happy, laughter filled workplace that is the epitome of efficiency. Our clients are happy, things are getting done, what else can I say.

3) I'm getting married again.

(pause for effect)

(hmmm....did we hear that they split up? What's going on? how could this be?)

....to MIKE silly people. In celebration of our tenth (holy fricken frack) wedding anniversary, Mike and I are getting married. Save the date: July 31, 2009, Chapel Bellagio, Las Vegas, Nevada. I'm sending out save the date cards to everyone we know, so if you want one, email me.  You know us, we ALWAYS want our family and friends around so hopefully we'll have another rocker of a party (without the dirty joke this time.)
