Tax Season and Other Ramblings

posted Wednesday, 15 March 2006

Tax season has decended on me in a formidable fashion this year.  This is nuts. I have never, in my life, been as stupidly busy as I am this season.  I'm so nutty crazy busy that my daily to do list is longer than the typical notebook page and I'm so totally frustrated that I can't see the light that I almost want to do NOTHING rather than attack the list of things to do.

This of course, causes the list to GROW.

The future holds many nice things though. I have a few dates of significance coming up:

March 20 - I'm moving.  Well, my office is moving. I'm leaving the homestead and setting up shop at Frontier Glass.  My assistant will work 10 feet from my desk instead of across town, the phones will get answered and things will get done despite my intense procrastination.  I'm sure no one can out-move Dave who will be moving for the 17th time since I've met him.

March 24 - Andria turns 4.  Try not to pass out.

April 14 - I'm going to visit Serrah. I can barely contain myself. I miss her so much that it hurts some days.

MAY 11 - The date you've (well, me) all been waiting for....<drummroll> NADIA AND GINA GO TO EUROPE.

That's right - we're off! Gina is graduating this year and we thought it would be a good idea to ditch life in general and fly to the other side of the planet.  We're going to take ten days and do WHATEVER THE HELL WE WANT.  I'm not bringing anything electronic in nature except my hair dryer....ya, I'm going to miss the girls so much that I'll be sick, but REALLY when do I do anything like this for myself? Besides, I have the most supportive husband in the world who told me to go.  We'll refer to him as "superdad" from here on in :)
